Hi Dody! I honestly don’t think that’s a question that can be answered with an one size fits all answer. The best site for affiliate marketing will be based on your niche, what you audience wants and what you are comfortable selling. I know lots of people that RAVE about shareasale.com – I personally haven’t had wild success with them because they don’t offer many products that I personally have found useful / easy to promote on my blog. I would strong suggest taking the making sense of affiliate marketing course – it will clear up any questions you have about affiliate marketing 🙂

Petra- your keyword phrase “Beach Decor” can expect to get 374 hits per day for the number 1 spot on Google, but there are 189,000 websites in competition with you (hard to get to #1). But you can get to #1 easier with the keyword phrase “Sea Decorations” and if at #1 you can expect 50 hits/day and only competing with 12,600 other websites. Also “Beach Party Decorations”, #1 Google spot can expect 40 hits/day and competes with 16.200 other websites.

One of the most well-known ecommerce platforms today is BigCommerce. It boasts of having more than 60,000 active merchants. Many prefer this platform because of its superior functionality and countless features. It also has an affiliate program that offers big commission rates of up to 200 percent of the plan. This lets you earn anywhere from $60 to $1,500 per each sale that you’re able to secure. Its cookies last for 30 days, and it provides you not only with text affiliate links but also with banners, content and SEO advice and so on.

A2 Hosting + HostGator – these affiliates let you create custom coupon codes which is a huge bonus if you’re doing YouTube videos. Tyler’s Moore’s video on how to make a WordPress site has 4.5M+ views and he refers people to HostGator using his coupon code. This means he gets credited for the sale if they use the code (even if they don’t click his affiliate link). If you’re doing YouTube videos, coupon codes can result in a lot more sales than dropping links in video descriptions and hoping people click on it. He’s made a fortune.
The easiest and most common way to start building an audience for a website is via social media. Depending on your niche and industry, you can choose from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and several other niche and location-specific networks. Building up an engaged and interested following on social media is a great opportunity to build relationships and once you have their trust, promote your products and services to them.
If you love to travel, it’d be a good idea to set up a travel blog or website where you can promote travel agencies and other travel websites such as the TripAdvisor. This world famous travel website is primarily known for its online reviews, but it is also a platform that can be used for booking hotels, restaurants and tour packages. If you become an affiliate for this website, you can earn up to 50 percent of the sale. Cookie duration, however, lasts only for 14 days. Nevertheless, it is the top option for affiliates in the travel niche.
“ShareASale is solid. Been using them since 2013. Biggest problems with them is the interface is a little dated / wonky. It’s also difficult to deal directly with the advertisers. You think you’re speaking to an advertiser rep, but it’s really just someone from SAS. You have to use a special (hard to find) contact form to contact the advertiser….and it’s rare you get a direct response from them.”

When it comes to email marketing, experts almost always recommend the use of GetResponse. This email marketing automation tool also runs a high paying affiliate program that provides recurring commissions. It provides up to 33 percent of recurring commission for each plan. This means that you get to earn monthly as long as the user remains active using this tool. If you are able to secure the Enterprise plan sale, you earn up to $400. Cookie duration is 120 days, and you will receive your payments via PayPal.
When you check out a Google search engine results page, you will see the organic search results on the left and adverts to the right. Google adverts also appear immediately above the search results, labeled ‘Sponsored’. These adverts are what Google refers to as its AdWords program: pay-per-click (PPC) adverts, where advertisers pay for every click made on the advert. They are listed in order of how much the advertiser offers to pay Google for the click – the more you are willing to pay, the closer to the top of Page #1 of the SERPs your ad will appear.

The key is to work very hard on your affiliate blog, or for that matter, on your podcast or YouTube channel. While the top 6% of affiliate marketers around the world earn a six-figure income from this business, as someone starting out, you should aim for anything from $10,000 to $25,000 in your first 1 or 2 years in this business. It gets better as you go along and learn precious skills on the job.
When promoting affiliate offers, just make sure you are fully aware of all the terms and conditions attached to your affiliate program. Some programs can be strict about how they allow you to promote their products. For example, some may limit you to banner ads and links only, while others will allow you to use paid advertising, but won't allow email marketing.

You will make an excellent passive income for as long as you want in this line of work. In fact, you will even make money on your old blog posts written years ago, depending on the quality and relevance of your content. Your business will always stay open, and you will have cash flowing into your bank account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, even when you’re asleep or off on a vacation.
